Madden does have competition after all

For years we have been complaining because we felt the Madden franchise and its developers have become complacent due to lack of competition in the marketplace. This may or may not be true but it is human nature for one to not work as hard when there is no penalty for underachieving. If that was the case I would go to work, take a dump on my desk and then order a pizza...but that's not reality.

It hit me today though that Madden and its developers do in fact have competition and it may not effect them greatly in the wallet because they work for the same company but as far as reputation and respect go, the group making NCAA Football is currently king.

There was such a big difference in presentation and gameplay going from Madden to NCAA this past year and I just don't get why...don't these guys talk amongst each other and share information? Apparently NCAA is in a league of its own and no longer the little brother in the shadows. NCAA Football is officially Madden's new competition. Maybe Madden developers will start to see this and get some pride and say "Hey, we are supposed to be the crowned jewel..we better step it up."

We'll see as more info is leaked if Madden finally started to realize exactly what I just blogged about and goes back to the days we all cherished so much. If they won't listen to me...tell them to check the poll on the main page.

Nice Thread. Will be doing more research in whether I want to get the Madden game. Whens it coming out. Sometimes by playing 2 games @ once it can take away from the experience and that's all I'd be worried about.

Yea this blog was from last year but i have always felt NCAA has had a game edge.
